What we collect

When you request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address, zip code or address, and basic project details (such as approximate yard size). We also collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through normal website operation.

How we use it

We use your information to match you with one local installer from our network, to communicate with you about your request, and to operate and improve this site.

How we share it

This is the core of what we do, so we want to be direct about it: when you submit a quote request, we share your name, contact information, and project details with one matched local installer so they can provide you a quote. That installer compensates us for the referral. Under California law, this counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which is why the rights below apply.

We do not sell your information to data brokers or use it for unrelated advertising purposes. We do not share it with more than one installer per request unless you ask us to.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we've collected, used, and shared about you
Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
Non-discrimination — we won't deny you service or charge you differently for exercising these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email hello@getturfsd.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" and the phone number or email you submitted. We'll confirm once it's processed.

Note: if you opt out before submitting a quote request, we won't be able to match you with an installer, since that match is the service itself.

Communications consent

By checking the consent box when submitting a quote request, you agree to be contacted by phone, text, and email — including by automated dialing systems and pre-recorded messages — by GetTurfSD and your matched installer, per the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). This consent is not required to receive a quote by calling us directly. You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any text or contacting us directly.

Data retention & security

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations, and use reasonable measures to protect it. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we share your information will be communicated more prominently.
